Patient Participation Group

General Practice has been struggling with inadequate funding for many years. According to the BMA the workforce is both ageing and diminishing – fewer than 1% are under 30 and 23% are over-55 and approaching retirement. Across England the number of GPs is falling.

The best way for GP services to provide the services the local community needs is to hear from its patients. Please can Woodbridge Hill Surgery patients support their local GP practice by getting involved.

At Woodbridge Hill we would like to hold regular meetings to help spread messages about health and wellbeing to improve awareness of health-related issues in the community. To engage patients in supporting the team at Woodbridge Hill to show our appreciation for the way they have managed to keep going during COVID – one of the toughest times ever seen in the NHS.

To do this we need to hear from patients.

How can I help?

Come along to the Patient Participation Group (PPG) meetings. We will be holding our AGM in October and if you would like to join the patient group, please leave your details with Marie or any of the team at Reception or register online at

New premises plans make this a good time to get involved.

New premises are planned for Woodbridge Hill Surgery with a public consultation running through to the end of this year. Your PPG will have a powerful voice in where are how the new surgery is designed.
