Using Online Services

Patient Access

This allows you to access a range of services via your computer, mobile or tablet. Once you have signed up, you will be able to:

  • book or cancel appointments online
  • renew or order repeat prescriptions online
  • view parts of your GP record, including information about medication, allergies, vaccinations and test results

How to sign-up

Email us at reception.woodbridge@nhs.net and next time you visit the surgery, bring with you some formal ID.

Prescriptions

Appointments

This facility is for booking routine doctor appointments, appointments for blood tests and some nurse appointments. Due to the nature of nurse appointments we are unable to offer all appointments online. Please ensure that you book your doctor appointments appropriately.

Please do not book appointments for the following: Nursing, Cryotherapy, Minor Surgery, Medicals, Post Natal or Ante Natal check up including 6 week mum and baby check, Coil fitting, Implants or Injections. If you are unsure do not book on line please contact us by emailing reception.woodbridge@nhs.net or messaging us via Patient Access.

When you book an appointment this way, you will receive confirmation immediately. There is no need to confirm it by phone or email – just make sure that you arrive promptly on the day!

Missed Appointments

Please let us know if you will be unable to attend an appointment that you have booked. Either contact us by telephone to cancel or cancel it online. This will allow us to offer the appointment to another patient.

Repeat Prescriptions

Patient Access will give you a facility to send requests for repeat medication to the surgery. We will still require 48 working hours to process requests. You can monitor the progress of your request via Patient Access homepage.

Patient Access now gives the facility to view and print a list of your repeat medicines or appliances and any recorded allergies or adverse reactions.

Messaging

You can message your GP with simple queries. This can be used instead of phoning us for example if you have a simple medication query, a query about any results, check if you need a review or blood test. This is a quicker way for us to respond to you.

Your Responsibility

The practice will take every measure to ensure that your Patient Access application is secure. It is your responsibility to ensure that your Patient Access account remains secure. You are able to terminate or reset your account any anytime by contacting the surgery in writing. You may wish to do this is if you think someone else knows your logging in details or if you have shared details with a family member or partner and no longer wish them to know these details.

Please note the practice does not manage the Patient Access website and therefore cannot provide help with using the Patient Access. Help screens are provided on the website.

Dr IQ

Dr IQ is an online consultation platform for NHS patients, providing fast, safe and effective services allowing you to interact with the surgery without waiting in the queue.

Allows patients to

  • Request an appointment – interact with the surgery without the need to telephone
  • Have an online consultation – speak to your GP through audio or e-consultations
  • Set medication reminders – never miss an appointment, set up reminders and get notifications to help you plan your care
  • Order repeat medication – order repeat medication and choose your preferred pharmacy
  • Access self care support – online consultations help you to self-care or direct you to the appropriate mode of care
